Winner of the Audience Award at the last edition of Morelia Film Festival, Curiel´s film debut tells the hilarious story of Silveiro, a failed Mexican trade unionist from Veracruz who decides to do what no one he knows have ever been able to do: enter the United States and live there “legally.” His buddies help him draft the most unusual plan and after turning his old taxi cab into an improvised raft (which he names “El Acorazado Jarocho” or “The Veracruzan Battleship”) he sets sail towards Miami. In an unknown first world airport the arrival of an ecuadorian flight is heard. The 'members of the European Union' passby migration, while the 'others', in the other line, wait. In the middle of the claims, a group of ecuadorians is arrested. They are taken to the Room, where they wait to be deported. Seems like everyone hides something, like PROMETEO the youn magician with his hands tied like a delinquent who has a 'magical' trunk as luggage. Time passes, a way of being, Ecuador happens in this waiting room. Seems like there is no possible exit. Meanwhile, a different but well-known way of life takes place. The only thing left as a promising way out is illusion.

Daniel's an exceptional footballer, a striker. Julio's the team's captain, a born leader. They were raised as brothers and play football in their slum. Daniel dreams of playing professional football, while Julio feeds the family with dirty money; he has no time to dream. The opportunity of their lives arrives when a football scout invites them to try out with the city's best team: Caracas Football Club. But tragedy strikes. They must choose, on a dirty football pitch, what is more important: family, revenge or the dream of their lives. Ivan (40) is living with the young Natalia (15) in an isolated house, a place he dominates and rules. As her powerful sexuality begins to emerge, sunlight leaks into her room through the closed curtains, breaking the atmosphere of repression and control in which she is submerged. The house then becomes an open battlefield, a space in which Ivan and Natalia reach unexpected degrees of intimacy, conditioned at the same time by the isolation from the outer world they are experiencing, the boundaries of captivity, her craving for freedom, and above everything the extinction of all possible morality.

Based on the classic Cuban literary piece, The Old House, by writer Abelardo Estorino, the film tells the story of Esteban, who returns home after a 14-year old absence and learns of the imminent death of his father. Residing outside of his native Cuba, he returns to encounter a past that is almost intact: secrets and old grudges. After the death of their grandfather in a mudslide, Jairo, an itinerant photographer, and Marina, his young amnesic and mute cousin, decide to go back and try to recover the land from which she was displaced years ago. They travel from Bogotá to the coast in an old beaten Renault. During the trip, the story of her traumatic past starts to unfold. Upon reaching their hometown, paramilitares kidnap them. While attempting to flee, Jairo is wounded. Marina goes to the ruins of her family house and there she remembers the killing of her family. She returns with the deed of their land, but Jairo is fading fast. She takes him to die by the sea.

Bianca is a somewhat young and very talented actor whose career hasn't happened yet. So in order to make a living she does small acting jobs, like impersonating movie divas and promoting events. After auditioning for a big international film, she finally gets the part. The director, inspired by her personality and her work, changes the character he wrote into a version of Bianca and makes her one of the leads. Is this the chance of a lifetime?
